Correspondence received by Chairman / Secretary.
Bessie Downie. Brian thanked Bessie for her many years' service on
the executive committee following her recent resignation, and
confirmed agreement that she should remain as Membership Secretary.
All present agreed with Brian's sentiments. Kirklees "Balancing
The Books" survey. A copy of the survey was distributed for
members to fill in and return should they wish to.
Milnsbridge book. Glenda and Malcolm Wood are to visit the
printers to arrange final layout, hopefully the book will be ready
in January. Title will be "Milnsbridge Memories". Mike
Shaw suggested reviewing the selling price, issue to be discussed at
next executive committee meeting.
River Colne Project & Colne Valley Trust financing
Confirmation of a grant of £1000 to the River Colne Project was
made. Glenda related that the Colne Valley Trust be insolvent within
a matter of weeks due to non-payment of an expected grant. Keith
James has offered to speak to the Society. Brian to speak to Roger
Armitage.

Richard Huddleston showed mock-ups to the meeting, Richard
Huddleston to liase with John Beaumont regarding further progress.
